Thank you, Dale, for the response.

I will pass this on to the commissioners.

Thanks again,
Dick

>Many years ago I had a relationship with the New England Municipal Resource Center (NEMRC) in Vermont. They have a very good system writen entirely in FoxPro. Some of my clients use their software and are happy with it and the companies support. It's fairly expensive, but these people are experts in Fund Accounting.

>I have a Utility Billing package (Water, Sewer and Solid Waste pickup) that has been in use for 15 years in both FPDos and FPWin. I'm presently rewriting in VFP8. It won't be ready for a couple months, though. I haven't had any support calls for a couple years, so the existing software must be pretty stable:)

>I've thought about selling outside my local market, but been too busy on other projects. (My price is half that of NEMRC) Nothing really changes in this area, so the software should be good for another 20 years. I am adding bar coding, which will speed up data entry.

>One advantage NEMRC would have is, their Billing probably integrates with their G/L and/or A/R. Of course, that's not a huge advantage. How long would it take to manually post total daily receipts........5 minutes??

>>Our local small city (population 8,000) is looking for a canned software package (G/L, P/R, A/P, A/R, and water/sewer billing). Many years ago, I would have suggested SBT or something similar. I guess they have been bought out by somebody.
