No question that ADO .NET is better in many ways than ADO. While I have advocated the use of ADO - I don't know if I said it is the absolute BEST way to go. I believe I paid a good amount of attention to SPT - since you can render a VFP cursor right away. Dataclass/VFP uses both ADO and SPT.

Finally, any deficits ADO might have do not come close to the deficits RV's have. As for your trival proofs - I'll leave you with your "wiki". At least there - if somebody does post something that effectively counters certain positions - they can be quashed right away...
