Thanks for your response, even though it has taken me some time to repond to it. To answer your questions:

1. I checked all the images. None were corrupted.

2. Yes, the bitmaps do change from letter to letter. We have to store signatures for historical and legal reasons.

3. The files were assoicated with a different program than Microsoft Paint, but have been changed back. It did not solve the problem.
