Hi John:

I do this all the time. I use remote (to SQL Server) and local (to VFP tables) views in MM data environments for data modification actions on a specific table, I use SQL Passthrough to connect to SQL Server to perform complex and dynamic lookup requests using a custom class that I got from someplace (I can't remember).
