You can only have one READ EVENTS active at a time. I'm assuming the "big" app also uses Read Events? If so, remove the READ EVENTS from your code and rely on the existing one.
If your app still needs to run stand-alone (in which case you'll need the READ EVENTS) as well as from the "big" app, you could add an extra prg into your project without a READ EVENTS; then from the big app, DO MyProcNoReadEvents IN myapp . Or you could call the app with a parameter and only do a READ EVENTS if the parameter is empty.

"... They ne'er cared for us
yet: suffer us to famish, and their store-houses
crammed with grain; make edicts for usury, to
support usurers; repeal daily any wholesome act
established against the rich, and provide more
piercing statutes daily, to chain up and restrain
the poor. If the wars eat us not up, they will; and
there's all the love they bear us."
