Hi, Fred.
>Is this with a USB connection? I had the same problem with a Palm device, it was the USB ports had bit the dust on the motherboard.
>Oh, and BTW, everything said the ports were OK on the motherboard, I couldn't confirm it to be a problem until I couldn't get a USB mouse to work either.
yeah, it is a USB connection, but I don't think the problem is there, for two reasons:
1. I've been using other different devices in those ports (cd-burners, dvd-burners, mouses, etc.), and they work just fine.
2. Last week I've installed some software on my computer that ended up installing that "Palm Desktop" thing. When I tried to hotsync my palm, it was taking the data from the "palm desktop" software just fine. But what I want is to sync with MS-Outlook. Then I reinstalled the software again and chose that option, and now the hotsync doesn't work.
could it be that I'm using MS-Office 2003 and the software for the Palm is just too old to handle that? I tried to find updates on the web, but I just didn't find a thing.
