Very true. But think again: you really say that WinForm is slow: Put a winform app with 128 RAM and have time to launch...put a vfp or delphi app and work. Put 2 GB RAM and the winform work, put vfp&delphi and work best. In the end, Winform is slow and requiere more hardware show this.

Also, you tried with complex forms?? Some people say that is possible see winform "paint" the form with things like real grids & other pseudo-intensive task, and that no happen in other tools. I see this thing, and i have good machines.

Ok, the real thing is that winform is not build for performance, not can have hw acceleration (the enfasis, like in java, is server by now). Is totally posible have best performance under desktop on top .net and delphi show that.... so the thing is no against .NET
