I typo'd - swell of you to rub my nose in it:-)
the config.fpw line reads TMPFILES=C:\TEMP. C:\TEMP exists as a folder on C root. Yet, the resource path for the cursors as reported by STATUS shows them in the highlighted path above.

When you have a chance, could you verify that TMPFILE does [indeed] redirect the reource path as expected (XP V8)
