Geez, BOb, are we reading the same forum content here???? Let me offer a single example that involves me directly...

This: Re: New case study in MSDN Flash - part 2 Thread #859732 Message #860019 was by JVP in direct response to a critique I wrote about the MSDN Flash article. My critique was very careful to NOT denigrate .NET in any way, focusing on the article's content and my personal interpretation of certain parts of it.

As you will read, JVP only saw fit to attack me personally and based his entire diatribe on my simple statement that it remains a clear slap in the face to Visual FoxPro! While virtually ANYONE can understand what is meant by that phrase, poor JVP cannot and so spends several hundreds of words going on and on and on about it. About the least controversial words in my entire critique!!!

If you care to read virtually any other of his posts you will see the rough equivalent of the above - picking at inconsequential stuff to belittle the writer. NEVER does JVP make any kind of "point" that he backs up with reasonable fact but ALWAYS does JVP require that anyone else who makes any kind of statement present source/backup.

It's apparent that even JVP has heard himself often enough and is now childishly replying with lengthy but meaningless drivel. He really seems to badly need to read himself. I can see him clicking on each of his carefully crafted (but still meaningless) replies and gloating as he reads and says to himself 'take that, you a**hole' or other nonsensical dream-talk.

>If the thread is going to compare VFP to .Net (not attacking either) then the particulars said about each environment should be stated correctly... as to which is a better choice, that is up to each individual.

In these alleged replies that JVP has made, the MOST I have seen him write is little quips like 'a myth' or 'not true'. He simply expects us to take his word on these matters, all the while never accepting ANY words pro-VFP by ANYONE!

It is JVP who has the problem here, BOb, not anyone else! And if Jos' idea could be followed up by JVP then maybe, just maybe, we could have an END to JVP's eternal incessant rantings about VFP's future being limited. He just doesn't seem to get it... WE'VE HEARD IT AND WE DON'T PARTICULARLY CARE AND WE WILL WORY ABOUT OURSELVES.
