Dean, the version of InstallShield Express that's shipped with 8 has less restrictions than the one that shipped with 6.0 and may be slightly easier to use.
That said, I really dislike the crippled features that IS Express holds in front of us like a carrot. And in my experience, when I've found a bug, their tech support answer is always, "well you should buy the full developers edition". I've soured on their products in the last year.
Right now I'm using an inexpensive and amazingly flexible installation tool called Astrum Installer, $49 if I remember right. I've been able to create better looking installs and in much less time with this tool.
In general though, I think there are a lot more compelling reasons to move to VFP 8 than the installer.
