In addition to Matthew's advice, it takes some practice. Problem is, the lag time between the project you are building (now) and the next one will erode some of of your hard earned understandings. But building installs is not a career - just a side line - so we can be forgiven for that:-)
The V8 ISE is pretty nice (for a freebe). IS does have a "SALE" now, for an enhanced version 99$.
Just be sure to test your install and it's runtime on a "clean" system. There is also a 1907 error related to "fonts" included in the project that sometimes bite and at others don't. If you are shipping fonts (like foxfont), be sure that IS has not changed the shipped font files to a shortcut. I hate it when it does that!
