If the data is in SQL Server 2000, MSDE, or something else as a remote source, wouldn't you want to use the CursorAdapter, SQL Passthrough, or remote views to access the data and use it as VFP cursors instead of an ADO.NET dataset?
I guess using XML is just as easy for the communication between .NET and Foxpro. I haven't work with XMLAdapter yet so I don't know the whole picture.
