Hi kevin,

You know I've expressed many concerns about moving to .NET, but since people might be opiniated at forehand when I make a post. I'll simply start with two references with regards to implement database applications with winforms (so no webbased stuff). Here are the links:

I have little doubt that Ricks opinion would be very open and not biased to any platform since he knows both platforms very well and has a long history of posting no nonsense quality posts.

Also, the remark of Mario Montoya about the WinForms platform beeing replace by it succesor somewhere in the future without a straight upgrade part is *if* true, a very good reason to keep in mind before walking the .NET winforms path.
