>Bill,
>yeah we have a growing number of VFP8 apps in our quiver. Our policy is:
>- don't enhance the Fox2.6 DOS apps. If a change is required, unless very minor, port it to VFP.
>- with Fox2.6 Win apps we take a more liberal view creating new forms etc when required although I find VFP8 so much easier to work with that I think long and hard before doing anything in 2.6 nowadays.

>So we are moving in the right direction - slowly!

>As regards working up a case study on SkyTrain Software Systems, I am in the process of writing some articles about it for the UT magazine. So until these are out of the way I don't really have the time to get (even peripherally) involved in any other project - did I mention that I also have a 'Real Job' <grin>

>Maybe we can re-visit this issue next summer.
Sam - as you are doing your writeups, if you have the VFP 8 case study template at your side, you'll find a lot of the stuff there can be boilerplated and dropped into a doc for a Case Study on VFP 8.

Ken Levy is actively solicitiing for Case Studies these days.
The template is here:
http://gotdotnet.com/team/vfp/downloads/VFP8_CaseStudyTemplate.doc

If you have no time to do this, I'll volunteer my time to assist you and your team for the writeup.

mondo regards [Bill]
