For most cases, it might do what you want. In some other important cases, you are missing important components from specific Web sites. For example, when some of those options are turned on, users may think there is a problem with a specific Web site when they click on a link when there is nothing happening, when in reality, they have something interfering with the good running of the site. Basically, this is causing some important lost of money for specific companies in terms of additional support to troubleshoot a lot of those issues and lost of sales when the client thinks something is not good with the site and runs away. Two years ago approximately, we didn't have to deal with that. Now, when you develop a Web site, you practically cannot use pick list windows to select items, have to avoid using Javascript and things like that. Based on that, yes, it is making our lives much difficult.
