Ken,

With all due respect, your reply here is totally nonsensical inasmuch as the relativity to sales is concerned!!!

Your intention here seems to be to get those of us here who fancy ourselves as 'smart businessmen' or 'savvy in the modern ways of business' to say to ourselves "Of course - any idiot knows that! We can expect nothing else with VFP sales (in Italy) being so very poor!".
Sad thing is, many here will take the bait!

But the fact of the matter is that your offering (sales drives it) is totally fallacious - as Microsoft itself shows us each and every day!!!
MS makes nary a penny from "Internet Explorer" and, frankly, reaps TONS OF GRIEF - what with all those persistent security holes and all. Yet they have sites about Internet Explorer that I've never yet seen!

Businesses have a responsibility to acknowledge and maintain their current products and even products that they no longer make!
To simply 'allow' something as blatant as this to occur with littlew more than a 'ahem... you may not be aware that we're still developing VFP' is unconscionable!!

Frankly, your reply to me about my critique of the .NET 'case study' was also in that class - given that you are a smart man who can see the embarrassment that the "case study" in question can cause to Microsoft (even neglecting the VFP aspects of the thing)!

C'mon, Ken, GET WITH THE PROGRAM!!!

Jim
>>....that the VFP current version is not the seventh, but the eighth?
>>This message should be a little provocative, but the official Microsoft Italy MSDN web site, talk about VFP7, not VFP8
>
>Each Microsoft office in various countries controls their own web site content like this. There really are not any significant sales of VFP in Italy compared to other countries, and I cannot force their offices to spend time on this part of their web site. I will send them a reminder, but I'm just letting you know it is up to them to decide if the investment is worth it based on their projected sales of VFP. So you know, each country has its own base of customers, there is no guarentee this site will be updated by the Italian offices.
