VFP 8 automates cursor translations (ADO and XML) - which is nice for VFP frontends servicing client/server/internet architectures. There are other features, like SCATTER to object that developers seem to like. There's a lot to V8, it will take my programming style a while to take advantage (or not to take advantage) of all it offers.

I have seen posts on screen refresh issues - but have never experienced it.
But V6 is still a great product. Fp2.6 is still doing a lot of work. It will be a while before my VFP 6 ends up in the bottom drawer of the file cabinet I keep in my garage:-). I have also heard arguments that VFP 6's EULA is less restrictive.
Is BP using VFP in Malaysia? I have some close friends working at BP in Houston. What kind of projects are you doing with VFP for BP?
