Hello Mike.

Thank you for your response.

Ja, i am a bit suprised too about the lack of replys - maybe people think i want to 'steel' email addresses or somthing?! So let me first claer up why i need this:

as some people here know i am currently working on a new mrp system. on of my features is that you are able to email reports from my report-wizard directly. so, besides making available all the emails entered into the system at different locations, i also allow the collection of email from outlook (if instaleed and setup).

however, in my test here at my customer's site i had 1 user not using outlook, but aol. so i thought, 'hey, why not collect those too?'

so here i am.

to my knowledge, aol does not store its contact in any microsoft file. if i remember this correctly they are stored in a main.??? file in the aol subfolder. i also remeber looking at one a long time ago, and i found, that the emails addresses themself are stored in plain asci. however the whole file is not only asci, so i have no clue how to extract those.

But, does it somehow tie into the Windows OS address book? If so, that info could be collected somewhat easily. Otherwise, do you have any idea how AOL persists those data? Google didn't turn up much.
