You've probably fixed this by now, but I have also come across this. I found the user had played with the Appearance on the screen properties, and returning it to Windows Standard fixed the problem. This problem seems to occur also on XP machines unless I change them to the Windows Standard or Classic setting. I'm using VFP6 and don't know if the problem may be resolved in VFP 8.
