I am now looking at VFP6, no SP. The Page object does, indeed, have a Tag property.

The idea is that you may need several additional properties for a Page (or some other VFP object), and it seems very arbitrary to use .Tag for one of those, and define additional properties for the others... Therefore, I have never used .Tag.
I think Visual Extend uses it somewhere, for an index tag. Now, this at least makes some sense.
