The C# code you posted certainly did not need a "proficient" C# developer to understand it and it didn't utilise the .NET framework to any particular extent.

To be honest Kev, I thought you were taking the mick. Your average VFP developer could easily suss out the C# code you posted whether they had previously seen any flavour of "C" or not. For a moment, it looked like you were "high" on the elitism of writing a bit of console code in a language that had the letter "C" in it <s>. C# is a very "sugar-coated" C variant and IMHO, probably way easier for most VFP developers to understand than the more so-called RAD oriented VB.net. Jeez, when I first started looking at C# (some 18 months ago, or so), my experience with JavaScript made it a syntactic "no-brainer" (nothwithstanding strong typing).
