>I have an application (VFP7) that needs to interface with an existing app in use by some of our users. This other app uses a dBase IV table with an .MDX compound index. I would like to be able to write directly to that format, but so far have been unable to get the Fox to do it. COPY TO...TYPE FOXPLUS writes a dBase III compatible file but doesn't update/create the index, so the other app errors out on start up when it tries to read my altered data.

If you use a view with a dBASE IV ODBC driver, you should be OK.
