Hi Ken,

A few things:

but there is a high bar to pass to get a case study on microsoft.com.

You have said this - either directly or impliedly - but yet you don't articulate the standard. By any chance, have you articulated this standard to Bill?

This is interesting - because it really does not comport with your previous statement that there is a "high bar" threshold that one has to meet in order to get the case study published. Specifically, you could theorhetically have a group of supurb case studies in comparision to total group of VFP studies submitted but still fall below the "high bar" threshold.

My point Ken is that my guess is that at least 1 person is working hard to get case studies considered - and others may as well. All the while, you have answered public questions about considering case studies - but have not articulated the standard the case studies will be evaluated. Are there absolutes that a case study must incorporate in terms of technology? Are there things that MS simply will not consider? Is there a template? Or - is it simply the fact that indeed - there is no standard and it is a subjective call by the relevant decision maker?

Personally, I do not believe there is a standard as it is inherently a subjective process. And - if there is a standard, my guess is that if it is a case study that is likely to strike a chord with people and have the possible effect of selling product - that study is likely to get published. Given some of the case studies, one thing is for sure - there is not a high technical or high complexity standard - assuming a standard exists...
