>I don't want to insult you it's just that I want to stay on the main topic. Oh yeah I want MS to ratify my opinion. I just want MS to state facts. We whould keep this thread simple. and even consider this to be global, not only related to MS.

>Exactly...you want MS to state facts However, whether a tool is the best for a given job is opinion - not fact.

First simple example. A small business with small needs wants to have an application. The computer used is a pentium II - 90 mhz, 10 meg. Hard drive. Is .Net an option here?

And don't tell me that nobody uses these computers no more. I've seen it many times where business owners change their computers not because of their needs but because of the operating systems. Look around there are still many Fox 2.6 apps, clipper apps, dBase apps...

>I understand that you want to keep the thread simple - it should be - but not at the expense of being simplistic - there is a difference.

hehehe you're too funny. Only you can turn peaceful conversation into a provocative and/or insulting reply

>A company developing a language, utility or whatever software should tell us what right tool to use for the job. They should do that not according to their hidden agendas but based on their customers needs.

>What if MS told you today that .NET was the right tool to use for every job? Wouldn't you immediately counter with "Why not Fox?" Denis - I find your request here to be a bit disengenous (and I do not mean to offend or insult you.) i.e., you are OK with MS telling you a specific tool is right for the job....so long as the tool is Fox...

No offense taken I don't understand the word :-D I see that you finally got that synonyms dictionary that you asked for this christmas. Your teachers will be so proud of you when you spread all those big words. Speaking of spreading. Do you know the difference between strawberry jam and culture?

There are no differences. The less you have the more you spread it.
