IMO though I don't have the specifics but the general trend is VB6. VFP is just bad publicized, people don't even know there is a VFP7, forget 8+. C++ is not visual in general training, the coding based is more used, but I guess generally it is not the preferred language.
These are observations and not necessarily the fact <g>.
