There is more to be done for VFP 8.0 and then there is Europa late next year and the following year (2005). I have had job offers from outside of Microsoft as well as other jobs within Microsoft (to change groups and leave VFP) all this year, and I've turned them all down because I enjoy the job I have working with VFP, the VFP team, and the VFP community. If there were many others besides yourself posting messages like this to me, then I may not enjoy as much as I do.

Some of us appreciate your efforts in continuing to improve the usefulness and interoperability of VFP. You have done a terrific job at that and I hope you continue. Keep looking at the wish list.

I expect that I'll use .NET when version 3 it comes out. In the mean time I'm keeping an eye on it.

This includes how VFP is messaged independently (stand-alone) as well as with Visual Studio (how they work together well for many solutions).

Though it saddens me, I know that MS won't promote VFP over .NET and that it is unrealistic to expect you to do it.
