Right, was a quickie (not)thinking on 'copy for' part.
A simple example turned out to be a competetion between VFPers :) I'd never be sure there is no more ways to speed up :) ie: Just replace my 'use ..' and 'copy to ... for' back to use select SQL (or in your code remove 'nofilter readwrite').
An easily managable local database engine is nice.
