>Hi Simon, do you have a link to the information? As far as I've been told by Novell, Novell is ADDING Nterprise Linux Services to incorporate functionality between Netware and Linux but not ending Netware that I know of. That would be a huge surprise since Netware is still the only government C2 certified out-of-the-box network OS (2003 Server should be eventually since they changed the entire security schema to locked down by default instead of open by default like 2000 etc...).

http://insight.zdnet.co.uk/software/applications/0,39020466,39115681,00.htmI've been studying Netware a lot recently in preparations for upgrading from 4.10 to 6.5 and I have not seen anything that indicates Novell plans to discontinue Netware. My gut instinct is that Novell is continuing in the direction of uncoupling their network service products from Netware so they can offer the same services regardless of which NOS a customer chooses to run, like they did with NDS.
I prefer to run a heterogenius server environment and would be quite displeased if Novell discontinues Netware.

Third normal form is more than just a good idea.
