>Interesting that you say this...because I can certianly ask why you continue to hammer at the whole marketing/case study issue...and expect a different result. If you want crazy - based on your defintion - perhaps you should look in the mirror.

At the 'microscopic' developer level I like how quickly I can build robust desktop solutions with VFP. However, VFPs revenue generating model is outdated. Macroscopically VFP does not work for MS. I do not understand why people cannot separate one fact from the other fact. It is not MS's job to provide me with a permanent income merely because I've given them a lousy $500 for the latest copy of VFP. I wish VFP were not dying and then I would not have to go through the arduous process of learning C#.NET. But, do I possess the divine right of stagnation because I gave MS $500 for a copy of VFP 8 a year ago?
Developing a database solution and evaluating the software development landscape from a 20,000 foot level are two entirely different intellectual activities. If people were more objective in both areas they'd get off their duff and get down to the work of learning a new language. It really ain't that tough. You don`t need a phd in computer science to learn the .NET framework.
Instead what we have is a group of people fighting a war that was lost a couple of years ago engaged in a siege mentality.
