To all,

I've just purchased a nice new desktop to replace an old one. I work at home and use a peer-to-peer
Windows XP Pro network of two machines; one desktop and one laptop hooked up with RJ-45 cable through
a hub.

I've gotten both machines seeing each other and the new desktop can access shared files on the laptop.

When I tried to access the desktop with the laptop, XP tossed a logon dialog at me. The only user
on the desktop was the "Owner" and I didn't want to login as that, so I killed the dialog.

Having done that, the desktop will no longer accept any access by the laptop. When I try to
access the desktop with the laptop, the laptop OS gives me the following error message.

"{computer name} is not accessible. You might not have permission to use this network resource.
Contact the administrator of this server to find out if you have access permissions.

Logon failure: the user has not been granted the requested logon type at this computer."

I've spent hours combing the online XP help and two XP books, but I can't find anything
that even hints a how to configure the desktop to allow access by the laptop.
