Well, here we are a few weeks later and I am still having the same problem, which is that I get the
"Access is Denied"
error message every time I try to do anything with the Documents and Settings folder called "Cecil Champenois". I have looked around on Microsoft's web site, but I doubt they have any resolution, since revealing such information might compromise their own WINXP security.
It is because I reinstalled Windows XP in a different folder that it now does not allow me to access the previous "Documents and Settings" folder. I first installed Windows XP into its default "\Windows" fodler. The 2nd time I installed it, I called the new folder \WINXP". This is where the problem is.
Does anyone know how I can access my own data? Do I have to do something with the registry? I have already tried dragging the folder down to the Shared Docs folder, but that resulted in the same "Access is denied" error message.
