Dear JVP

>>Employing a little common sense and reviewing the *current issues* was all that was required. To do what you did would be tantamount to diving into a pool - from the high dive - without checking to see if there was H2O in the pool...;)

Nyuk nyuk! I hope you let MS, Oracle and IBM know what silly-billies they were as well, since they all committed to Java at the same time as I did? I think I moved away from Java before MS did, too.

>>I am alway intrigued by new things. Something does not have to be out for a long time in order to be subjected to the "smell" test. .NET passed the small test...Java did not.

Is this the "research" to which you referred? Thought so.

>>What can I tell you...some people are better at evaluating technology than others...;)

As the wise man said, "he that makes no mistakes isn't making much". I'm sure that one day you'll make a mistake, then you'll understand ;-)
"... They ne'er cared for us
yet: suffer us to famish, and their store-houses
crammed with grain; make edicts for usury, to
support usurers; repeal daily any wholesome act
established against the rich, and provide more
piercing statutes daily, to chain up and restrain
the poor. If the wars eat us not up, they will; and
there's all the love they bear us.
"
