Then why did you bring up Oracle and IBM then???
>Ha! a complain about knocking combined with an overt knock. Classic!
JR: I am not complaining or whining - that is your department. I am simply asking you a question.

No, it just concerns me to see slogans and "all-in-one" easy answers presented as facts. Lots of people here earn their living according to the decisions they make, it seems wrong if eloquence takes the place of experience and facts.

JR: when it comes to having facts - and requiring others to do so - you can put me first in line. I'll be the first one to call somebody on the carpet if they are espousing expertise based on anecdotal experience. Any day of the week you would like to match up CV's in terms of experience, I am more than game. When I don't know something, not only will I be the first to admit it - I won't try try to fluff an answer. All that said - it is clear that some notables here and elsewhere poo-poo .NET sans relevant experience.
Maybe someday, we can revist the whole RV vs. Stored Procedure Debate...This time, we'll take it to Oracle instead of SQL Server... < bg >...
