has anyone got practical expierience with linked Servers. The idea behind is to use SQL-Server Query engine to access different OLEDB Data Sources via SQL Queries. Actually I have this up and running, but I look for practical expierience, especially in terms of performance, problems of all kind e.g. with special OLEDB Providers and for shure limitations, other facts.... (documentation doesn't say to much about this).

I would be glad to get any information available on this topic, self expierience as well as articles...
