Usually this session is left open becuase you have stored some value in an external [to the formset] property that references some object in the formset. Once this external property is cleared [e.g., set to null], the DS will be completely released. This can also happen if you have called some proc that set the DataSession to the DS of that formset and did not set the DS back to what it was.
