Hi Craig,
>I'm preparing a presentation next week for my user group and want some ideas for when to use cursors, arrays, and collections rather than one of the others.
For the "and now for something completely different" part of the presentation:
Since nowadays everybody talks about XML for crossing tiers and communication across many boundries, perhaps it is time to remember very old array goodies: I sometimes use array's to transport state information between 2 foxpro processes by saving an array to memo and reading that meo field in the other process from that semaphore file. Works like a charm even when using vfp and fpw together. You can exchange ***a lot*** of info this way in a very short amount of time.
Kinda poor [pure?] vfp array serialization...
