That's the problem! The Dashboard buttons seem to be in PUTM settings. While I was PUTM, I configured my Dashboard. Now, for unknown reason Michel decided to remove some useful standard buttons. Did you have links and Private messages on your original Dashboard? If not, perhaps you're out of luck, unless Michel gives BUTM some control...
