Hi Dorin

>If you mean direct TCP/IP connections, yes, is capable. The server communicates by default through port 3050.

Yes taht is what I had meant. I was between MySQL which is more known and FireBird. For me both of them are meant to be learnt so I wanted to know if I can have a fat client application to access data from the remote server using internet.

>I work on a project right now using this approach, but using a compressed/encrypted tunnel, not accessing directly port 3050, which is blocked by firewall.

Will this be a problem for me, the firewall and if you can I get over it on the server that my client has.

I am still in the therotical phase of a proposal.

Thanks for responding.
Regards
Bhavbhuti
