Well, actually yes it can. While in the military you cannot demonstrate against the government in anyway, shape, or form. You cannot belong to any group (even for a hobby) that in anyway is contra to the U.S. Government and its authority. It is the only job I know of that removes your basic right as a U.S. citizen to voice your opinion on the U.S. government and its leaders...

Also, for some positions, you sign away your right to divulge any information whatsoever that you may have attained while serving in the military. That piece of paper is in effect for the rest of your life. It is amazing what the government determines is a national security interest...
