The Spectrum is still there. Can't say I ever heard anyone refer to it as "The Rectum."
We do seem to like to shorten names here. Veterans Stadium has been "the Vet" all along. It took about two minutes for Lincoln Financial Field to become "the Linc." I'm curious to see what'll happen to the Phillies new ballpark, "Citizens Band Field." Personally, I'm voting for "the Cit" (pronounced "the sit," of course <g>).
