The Age of Gonzo

Heheh - just kidding.

I would actually put the dividing line at VFP 8, not 7. For 8 and Europa we blew the doors open and entertained a lot of new things. When you look at the new and enhanced features, 7 was evolutionary yet 8 was revolutionary.

In 7, we gave the developers more power with Intellisense and other stuff, but tiwht 8 we gave the developers more cool stuff that they could *sell* to their clients like theme support and CursorAdapters.

>I understand that the transition from Foxpro 2.x to Visual Foxpro represented a seismic shift in the platform as a whole. However I'm wondering if VFP entered another "mini-era" starting with version 7. I would call it "The Age of Intellisense" but I realize (without taking anything away from Intellisense) that this might short-change the scope of the newer versions. I also thought of "The Age of SET ENGINEBEHAVIOR" but that too sounded dorky.
