The ActiveX control we use is an control developed in-house, however we had been using the Commandbars ActiveX control from www.codejock.com we just needed more functionality than it provided. Also we can very easily take the GUI classes and add a layer of specialisation for DOTNET using C++, I am not one to re-invent code for the sake of it but this makes a lot of sense for us.
