Brenda,

>I have an application that is installed at 40 sites. Now we want to unify the 40 sites into a single site. This would be over the South East. Out network repsonse is crap. Thinking about Citrix. Wondering if West Wind can help. Our app is has no efficiencies: there are many Browse windows, go top and bottom, etc. The larges file will be about There are about 70 free tables, the largest will be about 300mb.

Without making changes to your app your only choice is Citrix or Terminal Server. Depending on how complex the app is, you can change the UI to a web interface and perhaps still use some of your code in the back-end server part of the project.

The biggest change in interface relates to accessing and displaying a screen at a time of data, then painting another screen when you choose a record (by clicking on a hyperlink in your listing of records) or choose Previous or Next, etc. Every action causes a new "hit" to the central web server which must then open tables, re-establish the context of your hit (which employee at which of the 40 locations is asking me to do something now) and probably restore the state of your previous hit (if you ask for the next records, what is the starting point for that request).

If your application is just a few queries and input screens, it might not be so hard to accomplish.
