True, but when labour is found cheap and even getting the thing done again with better specs make it cheaper then outsourcing should work <g>>
>Depends on how you look at it < s >. Ever hear the saying "time is money"? If something has to be done twice, it takes twice as long. If the app is not able to function correctly in a timely fashion, this could cost a company quite a bit, depending on what the application does < s >.

What I had meant was that labour is cheap here so more outsourcing is being done, just my 2 cents, oops paises (0.02 / 46) <g>>
>I agree with you that labor there is cheaper than it has been here. However, I have heard that one effect of this has been to drive rates down in the U.S. while, at the same time, hourly rates are rising in India. So, because of the cultural differences, it may still effectively be "cheaper" not to outsource.
Like it was once mentioned in another thread with outsourcing that the job post still remain the same only geoprahically distributed.
But IMO this outsourcing in India has also made peoples expectations also higher and at time impractical manner, at time I have had people ask me "all your job are from US or what?". What they don't understand that though jobs are being offered but they are in specific areas and not anybody and everybody who is in computers is supposed to have them, this also raises computer literate peoples expectations go higher in areas which are not in the least connected with outsoruced jobs.
IMO we have our own negatives of outsourcing <g>
