I was completely dumbfounded to find that the Developer 9 edition didn't include the Runtime Design APIs - According to a person from Crystal Decisions Australia we would have to pay $299 per developer to develop with the runtime designer capability, our customers also have to pay this per user, which is perfectly understandable, but shouldn't the Dev edition include them for development work?. Has this been changed in Developer 10?
You were quoted the wrong costs. It's $99 US. I complained loudly to Crystal Decisions about the Developer Edition licensing while writing my book. I took a quick look at licensing information at
http://www.businessobjects.com/products/reporting/crystalreports/licensing/details.asp amd didn't see anything that had changed from CR9.

I haven't had a chance to work with it yet. I'll be ordering my copy as soon as my reseller has it.
