YOu can use the Windows MuliMedia control (it is an ActiveX control) directly in your application. We had examples of different ways of doing this in Chapter 9 in "MegaFox: 1002 Things You Wanted to Know About Extending Visual FoxPro" (www.hentzenwerke.com).

What exactly do you want to do? (Do you want your own UI, or just to be able play stuff 'in background'? It makes a difference)
