Hi Rafael,
Actually this subject has been talked to DEATH. You can do a search here in the UT and you'll find several very long threads talking about this subject. You'll also find out that VFP is alive and well. I know exactly what you are up against. I have heard several completely unsupported rumors about VFP. It's always from someone who claims they have "a friend at Microsoft who said. . ." If I hear that one more time I'm going to puke. Apparently everyon has a friend at Microsoft except for me. But the real truth is they don't know beans about what they are saying and it's always easy to use the "I heard from a friend who is a reliable soure" routine when spreading a rumor that you know nothng about.
I've heard similar rumors about Delphi. It's pretty obvious they aren't true either. You'll find in this forum and that VFP is actually growing in strength and also by reading the documents Craig pointed you to, you'll see that Microsoft is committed (to the over 1/2 million programmers) in keeping it alive. I could go on but as I said this is a dead horse. I love VFP and it's an excellent and extremely capable and useful tool. Those who say otherwise really haven't used it. -Rick
