Al,

>A high-level general question - are there similarities between your VFP MM product and the .Net equivalent? IOW if one were to learn the VFP framework would that give a "head start" on the .Net product?

Absolutely. It definitely does flatten the learning curve...both for Mere Mortals and for .NET. The design patterns and architecture we used in MM VFP translate well to MM .NET. There are obviously differences in how these patterns are implemented in VFP vs. .NET, but the conceptual learning curves are very similar...the use of abstract classes, business objects, data access classes, factories for class instantiation, and so on. With our MM .NET framework, we take advantage of additional features available in .NET such as interfaces, custom events, strong typing, enumerations, and so on.

I see you're from North Vancouver...I spent some time in Vancouver last summer--it's a beautiful area up there!
