While I am still not sure what this refers to, I suspect it is some advanced feature found in some bigger systems (database servers, perhaps), but not in VFP.
VFP is not a database server, by itself, it does not use C/S architecture. To have a C/S architecture with all of its benefits, including scalability, you would use VFP as the client, but another system as a database server. The database server might be a product like SQL Server or Oracle, or a cheap/free option like MySQL, PostgreSQL, or Firebird.
