Two suggestions. First, use the registry class that comes with VFP to determine if the SQLDMO.SQLServer object is registered using the IsKey() function. The DLL that contains the SQLDMO object is SQLDMO.DLL. For SQL Server 2000, it's in Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\80\Tools\Binn. If it there, then look at MSKB#822034. It basically describes using regsvr32 to register the object.
